Record actions before listing software features

Observe a representative batch of orders: which fields are read from which system, where they go, why re-entry is needed and who checks them. Separate normal and exception flows, and busy periods from ordinary ones. Calculator inputs should come from these observations rather than being reverse-engineered to justify buying a system.

Define observable pilot acceptance

Pilot a clearly bounded workflow with agreed success criteria, fallback and data checks. Compare errors, manual confirmations and maintenance cost alongside processing time. Eliminating one entry while adding two checks may not improve the total workflow. Decide whether to expand, revise or retain a manual process after the pilot.
